Mountain Cabins is Deserved's shortlist of alpine houses built from larch and stone, made for the season of wool socks and long dinners. The edit favours cabins with a fire that stays lit and mountains framed in the windows rather than resort-scale hotels.

The edit is curated for the cold season — early dusk, deep snow, a fire that earns its keep. But the same valleys trade snow for hiking trails in summer, the nights stay cool enough for the fireplace, and the view from the window is the one thing that never takes a season off. If you love the mountains more than the snow, summer is the quiet way in.
